Pacer II® is a family of pre-fabricated modular and package dual-treatment water plants that deliver a proven capability for solving difficult treatment problems, including turbidity, color, iron, manganese, taste, odor, as well as waterborne disease causing organisms.
Pacer II® is utilized in locations where raw water turbidity is less than 150 NTU. In a two-step treatment process, Pacer II® provides an upflow contact clarifier followed by a polishing filter. Chemically treated water in the contact clarifier passes through granular media. Flow around the media provides the mixing required for floc formation.
Consuming 80% less land than conventional plants, Pacer II® delivers significant capital cost savings through its compact size and modular design. Rapid installation, reduced space requirements, fast startup, less frequent backwashing, and reduced chemical consumption make Pacer II® the cost effective and reliable treatment system.
Pacer II® 's simple operation provides a fully automated treatment plant. Wash cycles automatically activate on the basis of elapsed time, headloss, and/or turbidity setpoints and are just a few examples of Pacer II® 's cost saving features. Fully automatic control means reliable operation with minimal operator involvement.
Pacer II® reduces turbidity to less than 0.1 NTU and achieves over 3 log reduction of Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts and oocysts; producing finished water quality that surpasses Federal and State drinking water standards. Hundreds of successful units are a testament to the Pacer II® 's superior performance, high quality, cost effectiveness and ease of operation.
