The Dynamic Probe® analyzer provides the information required to optimize pretreatment, filtration and filter backwash. In addition, the Dynamic Probe® analyzer replaces differential pressure (headloss) and water level sensors for each filter.


The Dynamic Probe® analyzer is a 2 inch (5.08cm) diameter stainless steel sensor designed to an individual filter’s media profile and maximum water level. The sensor and its dedicated PLC gathers, stores, and charts filter and backwash data.
The Dynamic Probe® analyzer represents the first intelligent analyzer package, designed specifically for the water and wastewater treatment industry that combines multiple process variables and sensors into a single instrument. This combination allows a reduction in field mounting locations, analog I/O points, field wiring, maintenance and setup. The Dynamic Probe® analyzer is also able to provide the operator with supplemental, interpreted process information to assist in improved operations. The overall effect is reduced cost and improved operations.
In combination with Roberts’ filter consoles or when integrated into an existing filter control system the Dynamic Probe® analyzer utilizes gathered data to optimize filter and backwash performance.
